Collections

You can create collections to group together products. Unlike categories, collections are optional.

Publishing collections on your storefront is a great way to increase sales and give your buyers better experiences. You can group your products according to seasonal events or link products that are commonly purchased in pairs or groups.

Create a collection

  1. From the dashboard, go to Products -> Collections.
  2. Select the Create collection button in the page's header.
  3. Enter a Name and Description for the collection.
  4. Select Save when you are done.
  5. Add products to the collection.
  6. (Optional) Add a collection photo.
  7. Publish the collection.

Add products to a collection

After you save a new collection, a section appears where you can assign products.

Steps

  1. From the dashboard, go to Product -> Collections.
  2. Open the collection you want to add products to.
  3. Go to the Products tab and select the Assign products button in the page's header.
  4. Select one or more products to assign to the collection. Use the search bar to narrow the results by name, attribute, or product type.
  5. Select the Assign button when you are done.

Sort collection products

You can sort products in a collection to choose the order they appear in your storefront. Collection products can be sorted via the following steps:

  1. From the dashboard, go to Product -> Collections.
  2. Open the collection you want to rearrange.
  3. Use the arrow buttons in the products table column to change the product order.

Remove collection products

  1. From the dashboard, go to Products -> Collections.
  2. Open the collection you want to delete products from.
  3. Go to the Products tab and tick the checkbox of each product you want to remove.
  4. Select Unassign. Select the Confirm button after the prompt.

Add a collection photo

  1. From the dashboard, go to Product -> Collections.
  2. Open the collection you want to add a photo to.
  3. Scroll to the Background image section, click on the + button to upload an image.
  4. (Optional) To add alternative alt text for the image:
    1. Hover over the image and select the edit icon.
    2. Edit the alternative text in the Description field.
  5. Select Save.

Publish a collection

  1. From the dashboard, go to Product -> Collections.
  2. Open the collection you want to publish.
  3. Go to the Visibility tab.
  4. In the Discoverability section, set the collection to Published and Visible..

Manage metadata in the collection setup page

You can add private and public metadata for each collection in the collection setup page. Use the button "Add Field" to add a new metadata field.

Manage category metadata

You can add, edit, or remove private and public metadata for each category in the category setup page. The following steps show how you can do this:

  1. Go to Product -> Collections.
  2. Select the collection you want to make changes to.
  3. Go to the Advanced section and select the + button to add both metadata and private metadata fields.
  4. Input your metadata as a custom key : value pair.
  5. Save your changes when you are done.

Delete a collection

  1. Go to Product -> Collections.
  2. Select one or more collections.
    Options to Publish, Unpublish, and Delete will appear above the list.
  3. Select Delete. Confirm this action by selecting Delete again when prompted.
