Collections

You can create collections to group together products. Unlike categories, collections are optional.

Publishing collections on your storefront is a great way to increase sales and give your buyers better experiences. You can group your products according to seasonal events or link products that are commonly purchased in pairs or groups.

Create a collection

1. From the dashboard, go to Catalog -> Collections.
2. Select Create collection.
3. Enter a Name and Description for the collection.
4. Select Save.
5. Assign products to the collection.
6. (Optional) Add a collection photo.
7. Publish the collection.

Add products to a collection

After you save a new collection, a section appears where you can assign products.

Steps

1. From the dashboard, go to Catalog -> Collections.
2. Open the collection you want to add products to.
3. Select Assign product.
4. Select one or more products to assign to the collection. Use the search bar to narrow the results by name, attribute, or product type.
5. Select Assign.

Sort collection products

1. From the dashboard, go to Catalog -> Collections.
2. Open the collection you want to rearrange.
3. Use the arrow buttons to change the product order.

Remove collection products

1. From the dashboard, go to Catalog -> Collections.
2. Open a collection to the Products tab.
3. Select one or more products to remove.
4. Select Unassign.

Add a collection photo

1. From the dashboard, go to Catalog -> Collections.
2. Open the collection you want to add a photo to.
3. Under Background image, select Add photo and select the image you want to upload.
4. (Optional) To add alternative alt text for the image:
   1. Hover over the image and select the edit icon.
   2. Edit the alternative text in the Description field.
5. Select Save.

Publish a collection

1. From the dashboard, go to Catalog -> Collections.
2. Open a collection to the Visibility tab.
3. Under Discoverability, set the collection to Published and Visible.

Manage metadata in the collection setup page

You can add private and public metadata for each collection in the collection setup page. Use the button "Add Field" to add a new metadata field.

Delete a collection

1. Go to Catalog -> Collections.
2. Select one or more collections.
   Options to Publish, Unpublish, and Delete will appear above the list.
3. Select Delete.
