Require Product Approval

You can configure Nautical to require all products and variants added or changed by sellers be approved by a marketplace operator before they're available for purchase.

When this feature is enabled, the Status field appears, and new products and variants enter an "In Review" state until an operator approves or rejects them. Only approved items will be visible to buyers.

If this feature is turned off, sellers can add and display products and variants in the storefront without the operator's approval.

Enable product approvals

You can enable product approvals within your marketplace configuration settings, or contact Nautical Support to make the necessary configuration changes.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings -> Marketplace configuration
  2. Under Products, turn on Require product approvals.
  3. Select Save.

View products in review

You can filter products and variants by the Approval status column to quickly find those in review.

  1. Go to Catalog -> Products to view products, or Catalog -> Variants to view variants.
  2. Select the filter button in the Approval status column header.
  3. Choose which status to filter by.

Change approval status

  1. Go to Catalog -> Products to view products, or Catalog -> Variants to view variants.
  2. Open the product or variant.
  3. In the upper-right corner, use the status dropdown to select the new status.
  4. Select Save.
