Reset Customer Password
Customers can reset their password using the reference storefront. However, marketplace operators can also initiate a password reset on behalf of a customer.
Configure the password reset URL
Ensure the Customer password reset URL is set properly in your marketplace configuration settings. This is necessary to send the correct password reset link to the customer.
The format for the password reset URL should typically be https://{your-storefront-url}/reset-password/. However, it may vary if you have a custom storefront.
Initiate a password reset for a customer
- Go to Customers.
- Open the relevant customer account.
- Select Reset password.
Result
The customer will receive a unique password reset email, using the configured customer password reset URL.
