Email Logs
Every email is recorded and can be seen on the Mail Logs page. Use this page to check if emails have been delivered and to identify any problems. For more insights like delivery and open rates of your emails, check the analytics on your SendGrid Dashboard.
View email activity
From the Nautical dashboard, go to Settings -> Mail Logs.
Review the following information on the mail logs page:
Column Description ID The email ID. Date The date and time when the email was sent. From The from address, as configured in SendGrid. To The recipient address. Type The email type and SendGrid template ID used to send the email. Payload The JSON email payload used to populate dynamic information on the email. Error Any errors that occur during sending will appear here.
Find specific emails
The mail logs page keeps a comprehensive history of all emails, which can be extensive. Filters are a useful tool to quickly find a specific email.
- On the mail logs page, select Filters to access the filters menu.
- Choose one or more filters.
You can filter by date, sender's email, email type, or recipient's email. - Select Save.
- When you're done, select Clear to remove the filters.
Troubleshooting
- If an error appears in the mail logs, get in touch with Nautical Support for help.
- If an email is missing from the logs, it wasn't sent. Investigate the following for the root cause:
- Make sure your SendGrid plugin is active.
- Check your mail settings to verify the email is activated.
- In SendGrid, make sure the email template you're using exists and is active.
