Overview

Payouts are processed in batches for multiple sellers, including all revenue that has accrued until the specified end date.

The payout balance is automatically accrued, taking into account any marketplace commissions and fees to be collected from each order. For more details, see How Revenue is Split with Sellers.

How orders qualify for payout

Your revenue accrual mode setting determines how revenue accrues for seller payouts. Typically, revenue accrues upon fulfillment, meaning that the shipping and sales revenue for each item accrues as it's fulfilled.

Revenue accrues until the subsequent payout cycle. You can preview the marketplace commission and seller payout balance from the Order Payout section on a seller order.

Payout gateways

When you process a payout, you must choose a payout gateway to transfer funds to your vendors. Note that before processing payouts with any gateway, you need an active integration and each vendor must have completed their onboarding.

note

You can only use one payout gateway per payout run. To use a different gateway for certain vendors, exclude them from the payout, and select a different gateway in the subsequent payout.

  • Stripe Connect: Use Stripe Connect to transfer funds from your Stripe balance to your vendors. Vendors will receive the funds in their Stripe Connect account and these funds are then transferred to their bank as per their Stripe payout schedule.

  • PayPal: You can connect a PayPal business account to Nautical for payouts from your PayPal balance. Vendors are notified via email by PayPal to deposit their funds.

  • Trolley: By connecting Trolley, you can send funds to your vendors' preferred payout methods who are onboarded with Trolley.

  • Manual: The manual payout gateway marks payouts as paid in Nautical, allowing you to transfer funds to vendors outside the Nautical system.
