Add and Manage Warehouses
A warehouse is a physical location where inventory is stored and shipped from. Warehouses are the key to orchestrating inventory and order fulfillment. You can create and manage all of the warehouses in your fulfillment network through Nautical.
Adding warehouses is the essential first step for inventory and shipping management. For more information on how warehouses, inventory, and shipping work, see the setup overview topic.
Warehouses can be owned and managed by the marketplace operator or vendors.
If your vendors have their own warehouses and shipping, you can give them permission to create and manage warehouses and shipping zones. Vendors can assign inventory to their warehouses or those owned by the marketplace operator.
If the marketplace handles all inventory and warehouse management, you can restrict permissions to only the marketplace operator.
You must have the "Manage shipping" permission granted through your permission group to create and manage warehouses.
