Manage product collections
You can create collections to group together products. Unlike categories, collections are optional.
Publishing collections on your storefront is a great way to increase sales and give your buyers a better experience. You can group your products according to seasonal events or link products that are commonly purchased in pairs or groups.
Create a collection
- In the dashboard, navigate to Products -> Settings.
- Select Collections.
- Input the collection's name and description.
- Select Save.
Add products to a collection
After you save a new collection, a section appears where you can assign products.
Steps
- In the dashboard, navigate to Products -> Settings.
- Select Collections.
- Select a collection.
- In the Products section, select Assign products.
- Select one or more products to assign to the collection. You can use the search bar to narrow the results by name, attribute, or product template.
- Select the Assign button when you are done.
Sort collection products
You can sort products in a collection to choose the order they appear in your storefront. Collection products can be sorted via the following steps:
- In the dashboard, navigate to Products -> Settings.
- Select Collections.
- Select a collection.
- In the Products section, use the arrow buttons beside each product listing to change the product order.
Remove collection products
- In the dashboard, navigate to Products -> Settings.
- Select Collections.
- Select a collection.
- In the Products section, check the checkbox of each product you want to remove.
- Select Unassign. Select the Confirm button after the prompt.
Add a collection image
- In the dashboard, navigate to Products -> Settings.
- Select Collections.
- Select a collection.
- In the Details -> Background Image section, click on the + button to upload an image.
- (Optional) To add alternative

text for the image:- Hover on the image and select the edit icon.
- Input the alternative text in the Description field.
- Select Save.
Publish a collection
- In the dashboard, navigate to Products -> Settings.
- Select Collections.
- Select a collection.
- In the Visibility -> Discoverability section, select Published and Visible.
- Select Save.
Manage category metadata
You can add, edit, or remove private and public metadata for each category in the category setup page. The following steps show how you can do this.
- In the dashboard, navigate to Products -> Settings.
- Select Collections.
- Select a collection.
- In the Advanced section and select the + button to add both metadata and private metadata fields.
- Select Save.
Delete a collection
- In the dashboard, navigate to Products -> Settings.
- Select Collections.
- Select one or more collections.
Options to publish, unpublish, and delete the collection will appear. - Select Delete. Confirm this action by selecting Delete again when prompted.
