Customize your storefront theme

Your logo, favicon, and colors help establish branding for your storefront. You can manage these using the storefront settings in your Nautical dashboard.

General​

Your store's general settings consist of a name and a description. These play a key role in registering meaning to buyers and letting them know what products or services your marketplace can offer.

Update the store's name and description​

  1. In the dashboard, navigate to Storefront -> Branding & Theming.
  2. In the General section, specify the name and description of your store.
  3. Select Save.

Colors​

The primary and background colors are used for colorful accents throughout your storefront, such as button styles, checkboxes, field highlight, active menu links, and more.

Change the storefront colors​

  1. In the dashboard, navigate to Storefront -> Branding & Theming.
  2. Set your Primary color or Background color by choosing the color from the color picker.
  3. Select Save.

The logo is a key piece of your a marketplace brand identity. Your logo is one of the first things people see when they visit your marketplace. The logo displays prominently in the main navigation bar throughout your storefront.

The ideal logo size is a small square, such as 160x160 pixels.

  1. In the dashboard, navigate to Storefront -> Branding & Theming.
  2. Upload your logo in the Logo section.
  3. Select Save.

Favicon​

The favicon is a small square icon that appears beside your site name in browser tabs. Having a favicon helps you to have consistent branding as visitors use your marketplace.

The ideal favicon size is 16x16 pixels or 32x32 pixels. There are free online favicon generators you can use if you don't have a favicon already.

Add a favicon​

  1. In the dashboard, navigate to Storefront -> Branding & Theming.
  2. Upload your favicon in the Favicon section.
  3. Select Save.

Font​

Your storefront's font helps with branding and being intentional with your audience. Having a well thought out font that speaks to your customers will build trust, conversion, and retention in your marketplace. You can choose and preview fonts for your marketplace on your dashboard.

Add a font​

  1. In the dashboard, navigate to Storefront -> Branding & Theming.
  2. Select a Font and a Font Color from their respective sections.
  3. Select Save.
